 Guitars Pike Martin

I have what some would call an "addictive personality". I drank enough for 4 or 5 lifetimes by time I meandered into my twenties, have been banned from a casino (with my grandma RIP Grandma Barb love you), more than a few tickets under my belt, and hell I even dedicated an entire 9 months of my life to World of Warcraft (+newports +hot pockets... not a great look).

This blood weakness spans into my love for all things with strings.
I fucking love guitars, violins, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, cellos, lap steels, you name it.

As scatterbrained as I am about my instruments, I remain desperately loyal

My top 3 guitars:

Pike Martin Main Guitar Taylor 314-CE-SE

1. Taylor 314ce-SE

This was my personal first big guitar purchase. I bought her last year. The first time I spent over $600 on a guitar.

I tried out every single guitar at guitar center (sorry Paul, I know you didn't want to unlock them all on a Tuesday when no one was around, but I appreciate you).

After playing her multiple times, I had to have her.

She was the best. Sounded better than any others that were 5x her price.

Perception of value is real.

2. Taylor 614-CE

After my mom and dad got divorced, my dad took me to the Martin guitar factory in Nazareth, PA.

TBH I didn't love how the guitars sounded at  the factory, so we ended up checking out a local guitar shop.

For whatever ungodly reason, my dad bought me a slightly used 614-ce. This was coming from the man who would cancel his phone every month to save $8 in fees.

We didn't have money as kids. I still don't know where he got it to fund it (later he told me he put it all on credit ffs).

Anyway, I didn't set this guitar down for 10 years. It means the world to me. Love you dad.

3. Horse Guitar

Because fuck you is why.

This piece of shit sounds phenomenal. I'm not even joking. You can hear its insane resonance.

Pretty good for a $99 guitar with a horse on it.

Again with the perception of value.

Honorable mentions:

Knockoff Acoustic Pike Martin

- Gretsch Resonator, Unknown model. It's across the room. Too far to check

- Gibson SG (you'll never see me play it). My dog took a bite out of it when I was 17

- Stag POS. Played this while gigging in Colorado.

- The rest of my guitars are knockoffs. Quite literally. I own one legit Martin, and two Taylors (the rest are knock offs I'm pretty sure).
